FIRST: GOP lawmakers expelled two Democrats from the Tennessee House for participating in protests calling for gun safety legislation.

THEN: The Nashville Metro Council and the Shelby County Board of Commissioners voted to reappoint Reps. Jones and Pearson to the TN House.

BUT NOW: Tennessee state law requires a special election to be held for these vacancies, so Reps. Jones and Pearson will have to face ANOTHER election after their GOP-led, anti-democratic expulsion.

And these special elections won’t be easy – the Tennessee GOP hasn’t backed down at all from their anti-democratic attacks.
