Today is President's Day, an opportunity to take a look at some of the progress past Administrations have taken to improve our public education ...
Just like former President Obama said, "a good education is no longer just a pathway to opportunity -- it is a prerequisite."
But unfortunately here in California, corporations and wealthy investors haven't been paying their fair share, leaving our once-great public schools ranking 39th in per student funding. That's why we need to RECLAIM $12 billion annually from wealthy corporations to reinvest in our most valuable asset -- our students and local services!
By passing Schools & Communities First in November, we can close corporate tax loopholes and begin taking meaningful steps towards giving every child in California a pathway to opportunity.
Will you make a contribution today to help reclaim $12 billion annually for our schools and local communities?
Happy President's Day from all of us fighting to build a better legacy for California!

The Schools & Communities First initiative reclaims $12 billion every year for California’s schools and local communities by closing commercial property tax loopholes benefiting a fraction of corporations and wealthy investors. The initiative benefits residents and small businesses by exempting homeowners and renters from any changes while implementing new tax relief for small businesses.
