Yesterday, Marilyn sent you a message about Senator Tuberville’s blockade of hundreds of military nominations. This move is outrageous – and it could pose a serious threat to military readiness.

As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Marilyn knows firsthand how important it is to fill these critical vacancies.

To learn more, please read Marilyn’s message below – and then add your name to our petition condemning this blockade:

Forwarded Message from Marilyn Strickland:

John —

Extreme MAGA Republicans are at it again. And this time, they’re putting our national security, military readiness, and troops at risk.

Senator Tommy Tuberville has decided to block hundreds of military promotions to protest the Pentagon’s new abortion travel policy. Even Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell knows this is wrong:

Right now, the U.S. Marine Corps is operating without a Senate-confirmed leader for the first time in over 150 years – all because Senator Tuberville wants to deny servicemembers the fundamental right to make private medical decisions about safe and legal abortion.

Add your name to condemn Senator Tuberville’s blockade of military nominations. Together, we can send him a clear message: stop playing politics with our national security. [[link removed]]

We cannot sit by as MAGA extremists disrespect our military, endanger our national security, and make a mockery of our oath of office. Thank you, as always, for making your voice heard.
