John,

Before Tina was even sworn in as Governor, she promised to visit every county in Oregon in her first year in office. She wanted to hear directly from Oregonians about their most pressing concerns, see firsthand the challenges they’re facing, and build strong partnerships with community leaders across the state.

We decided to call it the One Oregon Listening Tour , and now that she’s officially visited 16 of Oregon’s 36 counties, she’s almost halfway to meeting her promise!

Tina’s been busy talking with local leaders and community members everywhere she goes, especially when it comes to the state’s three top priorities: housing and homelessness, mental health & addiction care, and education & child care.

Here are just a few highlights of the tour so far!

Tina visits a micro shelter community in Silverton to house folks experiencing homelessness. This resource center received over $500,000 from the Governor’s homelessness emergency funding package to add 20 new shelter beds.

Tina learning more about summer programs in the Woodburn School District and discussing how every district can do this every year.

Tina at Victor Dairy in Tillamook where she learned about the joys and challenges of being a farming family and a key part of Oregon’s food industry.

Tina even got to take some time to enjoy some of Oregon’s abundant natural beauty at Cape Lookout State Park!

Tina is looking forward to the 20 counties yet to come, and she’s excited about all the people she’ll meet and places she’ll visit by the end of the year.
