John ,
The Washington Post released an article revealing that Glenn Youngkin silently took down LGBTQ+ resources from a state website, despite objections within his own administration. These resources ranged from finding therapists, to online group therapy, to organizations like the Virginia Anti-Violence Project. These resources are there when LGBTQ+ kids and their families are struggling and don’t know where to turn. The quiet removal raises the question: what was the reasoning behind the Governor's decision to do this?

The answer: the governor caved to pressure from right-wing media.
Your elected officials should answer to the people they serve, including their LGBTQ+ constituents, and not single out and stigmatize the people they are elected to serve.

With Danica in the state Senate, she will fight for what is best for her constituents and get the job done. She will defend and expand resources to help LGBTQ+ youth, and continue the fight to make Virginia a more inclusive commonwealth. Because at the end of the day, this is your Virgnia, too, and you belong here because of who you are not despite it.
Best,
Team Danica
