Sherrod Brown and I introduced a major piece of legislation last month — and I wanted to make sure you heard about it. 

I’ve been fighting to pass an expanded Child Tax Credit since 2015. In 2021, I succeeded — but it only lasted for one year. Now, I’m working to expand the Child Tax Credit and to make it permanent.

This policy is a big deal for America’s kids. When we passed the expansion in 2021, we:

The Working Families Tax Relief Act, which we introduced in June, will restore the expanded Child Tax Credit, increasing the income of 40 million households and benefitting 65 million children.

This bill will give working families monthly payments to keep up with the cost of living, get food on the table, and pay for child care. It will give them the breathing room they need to set their kids up for success.

I won’t stop fighting for this bill until it’s passed into law. But to show my colleagues in Congress how much public support this bill has, I’ll need your help. Will you become a Citizen Co-Sponsor of the Working Families Tax Relief Act by signing on here?
