GET READY FOR WORK THROUGH THE GIRL AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Spend your summer gaining meaningful skills that will help you on your career and educational path. We're launching a Summer Session Girl Ambassador Program ([link removed]) at Meadowbrook High School meant to get a preview of the program. This session is available to all rising 9th through 12th grade girls of color who attend
Meadowbrook High School.
** About the Girl Ambassador Program
------------------------------------------------------------
The Girl Ambassador Program is a four-year, tiered approach to workforce development. Through paced learning and development, certified instructors work with girls based on their individual software and hardware proficiencies and life experiences to teach hybrid skills and prepare them for better-paying jobs and leadership roles.
Girls are introduced to thought leaders and subject matter experts on job readiness, leadership, networking, and financial literacy in order to give them a head start on professional and entrepreneurial career pathways.
The Girl Ambassador Program was created to support girls in developing digital, professional, and soft skills to get them ready for work and/or continuing education. Throughout the program they will have opportunities to gain stackable credentials that align with specific job roles and are transferable to other careers and develop targeted skill sets. They can also gain work based learning credits, badges and certifications that help them achieve an advanced diploma or pursue specific interests. The Summer series at Meadowbrook High School is an intro into the program, which will pick back up in the Fall. Students will work through the Fall and Spring Semesters in partnership with SEEDschool and other professional instructors to get them ready for Summer internships in 2024.

** Upcoming Recruitment Events at Starbucks

We're hosting two family-centered events at Starbucks on Hull Street to share information about the Girl Ambassador Program and engage in career exploration and skill development. Girls For A Change staff will be on hand to talk about programs and opportunities, and Starbucks will have interactive job-readiness stations set up
for parents and students.
