India's Citizenship Amendment Act, an initiative of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, fast-tracks citizenship for refugees of all major South Asian faiths from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who have been in India since before 2015 — all faiths, that is, except Muslims.

In Central Kentucky, groups like Catholic Action Center, The Downtown People, Room at the Inn, the St. John's Center for Men, and St. Vincent De Paul work to counter "clean up, clear out" policies against people who experience homelessness.

Commentary: On average, 10 women are murdered every day in Mexico. Says one human rights activist, "We live in a society where a social acceptance of violence against women is normalized."
