Hi John, Last night, the assembly voted to finalize the state budget, locking in a record breaking $125 million in funding to address PFAS contamination. It is now on its way to Gov. Tony Evers’ desk to be signed. Your advocacy and action got us to this point, but the work doesn’t stop here. We have to keep up the pressure on legislators to pass PFAS legislation that distributes this funding to communities equitably and effectively. |
Thanks to conservation voters like you, that current legislation is improving, but we're still up against major polluters who are trying to make it harder for the DNR to help communities. Look out for our updates this month – we’re confident we can fix this legislation, but we’ll need your help so it prioritizes the health of our communities.
There’s a way you can help right now. Make a donation today so we can keep pressure on legislators. This next month is crucial – 2.5 million people across the state have contaminated drinking water and addressing their health concerns can’t wait. Now it’s time we make it clear that PFAS must be addressed for the sake of all of us, our health, and our future generations. |
