Adams State University was at the Capitol on Wednesday and Thursday speaking to legislators and guests about the programs offered by ASU. President Dr. Cheryl D. Lovell and the ASU Board of Trustees were representing the university. I had the pleasure of meeting ASU students Kevin Daniel, James Doyle, Jazmine Palacios Molinar, Jacqueline Palacios Molinar, Diane Arias, Jonathan Marquez, Mariah McDermott, and Cody Trujillo. I am proud to be an alumni of ASU and truly enjoyed meeting the young people carrying on the tradition of excellence.
On Friday we celebrated the League of Women Voters and the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment which prohibits states and the federal government from denying the right to vote on the basis of sex.
