Dear John,

Maine trails exist to connect you with the natural world in every season – whether through hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, or other pastimes. Unfortunately, Maine trails are also seriously underfunded.

That’s why we’re supporting the Maine Trails Bond (LD 1156), along with our partners in Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition and 300 organizations, businesses, and towns statewide. The Maine Trails Bond would provide $30 million to invest in all types of trails.

To get this first-ever trails bond placed on the November ballot, it will need to receive a two-thirds vote in the State House and Senate.

Send a message to your legislators now and let them know you support LD 1156 to put the Maine Trails Bond on the ballot.

The Maine Trails Bond has more bipartisan support than any other proposed bond and is close to receiving the two-thirds vote it needs to send the measure to the voters in November. But lawmakers need to hear from people in their districts right now to make sure that happens.

Please send a message to your legislators now urging them to support a Maine Trails Bond!

Thank you for taking action,
