News from Congressman Scott Fitzgerald

Thank you for reading my newsletter. Here's a summary of last week:

Message from Congressman Scott Fitzgerald

Good morning! Let me update you on a few of the most important happenings from last week.

The House was in session for another very busy week. On the floor, House Republicans passed legislation to expand health care choices for workers and small businesses, to condemn the housing of illegal immigrants in public schools, and to revoke Biden's radical mortgage fee policy that penalizes individuals with good credit with higher costs. Additionally, the House hosted a joint meeting of Congress for an address by Indiana Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the Judiciary Committee, Special Counsel John Durham testified to provide insight into his report investigating the FBI's failed handling of the dishonest Trump-Russia collusion scandal. In the Financial Services Committee, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell appeared for his semi-annual appearance before Congress to answer questions regarding inflation, interests rates, and other fiscal policy.

Outside of committee and off the floor, I had the pleasure of meeting with many fantastic individuals and constituents. It's a pleasure seeing so many Wisconsinites in Washington, D.C. during the summer - my door is always open! As always, I appreciate you entrusting me with representing you in Congress.
