Friend,

Summer is in full swing, and I hope you and your family are enjoying some time off!

We’ve been busy continuing to work for the people of Georgia over the past month, and I wanted to take a minute to share some exciting updates with you.

I had the opportunity to sit down with my friend Shelley Wynter to talk about some of our accomplishments from this past session, from workforce development to cracking down on gangs and violent crime, to strengthening our adoption and foster care programs in the state. We even discussed how we’re revolutionizing our constituent services program in the Lieutenant Governor’s office–adopting the Chick-Fil-A model of customer service!

We had the opportunity to visit Rome to meet with a great room of supporters, and even got a warm welcome from the Rome Braves–the minor league affiliate of our Atlanta Braves. Grateful for all of the support we received from our friends in Northwest Georgia, and a special thank you to Kevin Evans and the Rome Chamber for hosting us!

Earlier this month, I was also honored to speak to a packed house at the annual Georgia GOP convention in Columbus. I want to thank the grassroots organizers, volunteers, and activists who not only helped make this event possible–but who were crucial to our success last November. The energy, enthusiasm and momentum are clearly on our side—and we will keep fighting together to build on our successes in Georgia and WIN in 2024 and beyond!

Earlier this month, we also had the chance to speak to the Georgia Utility Contractors Association. These are the folks on the frontlines putting in the work everyday to make sure our state continues to grow and thrive–and I appreciate all their hard work!

Last week, I requested a meeting with the Secretary of State’s Office regarding a recent report outlining potential vulnerabilities in our election system–and their decision to wait until after the 2024 election to address it. We must do everything in our power to remain vigilant and proactive in securing our elections in Georgia, and Iook forward to our meeting. See my full statement here.

We also had the opportunity to address two great groups–HNTB and the RSLC about ways to grow our state and keep building on our successful agenda here in Georgia!

Finally, we took a little bit of personal time to celebrate Father’s Day, my son Banks’ birthday, and a short trip to the Florida Keys. It’s been great to spend time with family and friends over the summer months–and I hope you all are able to do the same!

Thank you for your continued friendship and support.

Best,

Burt Jones
