Today marks a tragic anniversary: A year ago today, the Supreme Court ripped away the constitutional right to abortion.

I believe politicians have no business getting between doctors and their patients. The Court’s decision continues to threaten every Arizonan's constitutional right to exercise control of their own body, and it cannot stand – we must codify Roe into law.

Because of this decision, millions no longer have access to safe and legal abortions. We cannot allow that to stand.

I was proud to vote for the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe into federal law. Unfortunately, the party in the majority continues to block the legislation. It is essential that we immediately restore the constitutional right to access abortion.
