Greater Georgia Newsletter June 23, 2023 Welcome to the June edition of our monthly newsletter! As we enter the summer months, we are thrilled to bring you the latest Greater Georgia updates, initiatives, and current events to keep you informed and engaged ahead of 2024. Over the last few weeks, we've had several major updates on the election integrity front - including a bombshell new report about our state's voting machines, a State Election Board Meeting, and new developments on the Fulton County Board of Elections. LATEST NEWS KELLY LOEFFLER CALLS ON ELECTION OFFICIALS TO IMPLEMENT EMERGENCY VOTING MACHINE FIX AHEAD OF 2024 June 16, 2023 Last week, Greater Georgia Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler called for emergency action following new reports about a software vulnerability in Georgia's voting machines. The security threats, which were initially discovered in a 2021 investigation, were later verified by the Department of Homeland Security, which urged states like Georgia to update the flawed voting software "as soon as possible." Though a security update is available, the Georgia Secretary of State's office announced last month that it was refusing to update the vulnerable election equipment until after the 2024 election. The State Election Board also ruled on a number of pending cases, including whether or not to take over the Fulton County Board of Elections - which they decided against. Fulton County Board of Elections: Speaking of Fulton, the county has come under fire in recent weeks for refusing to approve the nomination of Jason Frazier, a Republican, to the local Board of Elections. This week, the County Commission voted for the second time to reject Frazier, citing his history of filing voter roll challenges. As we wrote the first time Frazier was rejected: "Verifying voter rolls...is a LEGAL step that any Georgia citizen can take to reduce the potential for voter fraud. Fulton County has had more election issues than any other in our state’s history - so it’s no surprise they’re blocking an Elections Board nominee who wants accurate voter rolls. Textbook example that the Left will do ANYTHING to dodge accountability." ANNOUNCEMENTS Stay tuned for an exciting announcement next week about a new campaign that Greater Georgia is launching to defend election integrity - it will take all of us to keep our elections secure, accurate, and fair! EVENTS GEORGIA GOP CONVENTION June 9-10, 2023 In case you didn't hear, we headed down to Columbus for the Georgia Republican State Convention earlier this month! We had a great time meeting new friends, reconnecting with friendly faces, and expanding our network of volunteers. While we were there, we met over 100 new supporters who signed up to volunteer! Thank you to all who came to our seminars, stopped by our booth, had fun at our reception, and listened to Chairwoman Loeffler speak! Click HERE to read our convention thank you note! ROSWELL REGISTRATION DRIVE June 15, 2023 We had a great time with our interns, staff, and volunteers at this month's Alive in Roswell event. It's always good to be out in the community - registering voters and connecting with new friends from north Fulton. Click HERE to join us next time! PAULDING CO. REPUBLICAN WOMEN AND WALTON CO. GOP June 12 & 21, 2023 Greater Georgia Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler loved addressing the Paulding County Republican Women and the Walton County GOP this month. We are thrilled to see so much engagement across our state, and look forward to working with groups like these throughout the summer in preparation for 2024!
