Hello John,
Remember when March For Our Lives fought for—and won—the most significant gun safety law passed in 30 years? YOU made that happen.
In the shocking aftermath of the shootings in Buffalo, NY and Uvalde, TX, March For Our Lives organizers met with Senate leadership and urged them to take action. We made calls, showed up in congressional offices, and refused to take no for an answer. Then, with your help, we took to the streets with hundreds of thousands of people to make sure Congress heard us loudly and clearly. John, thanks to you, we won.
Last week, we celebrated this historic victory with President Biden, Senator Chris Murphy, and gun safety advocates and coalition partners to celebrate the groundbreaking legislation’s impact.
Because we pushed Congress to act, we secured the largest investment in community violence intervention programs, extreme risk protection order programs and mental health services in over a generation. You did that, and young people did that!

March For Our Lives youth activist Trevon Bosley introduced the president at the ‘Safer Communities Summit’ in Connecticut. |
But let’s be clear: the BSCA is the floor — not the ceiling when it comes to gun safety. Our work is nowhere near done. We’re organizing like hell and coming back for more action on gun safety like an assault weapons ban, firearm marketing bans, safe storage laws, and so much more.
We have to make sure the next federal gun safety bill doesn't take decades to pass like the last one did. We have to continue organizing in every community to move our country forward on this issue. And we have to bring our movement into every corner of the country until our vision becomes a reality.
This is only the beginning. Will you chip in $10 or any amount that works for your budget to help fund our year-round organizing work and keep our momentum going?
Because of your support, young people are making waves and charting a roadmap to a safer, more secure future free from gun violence.
Thanks for your dedication to saving lives.
In solidarity,
March For Our Lives
