In addition to being a great father and husband, Tim is working every day to create a better future for our kids. He's committed to making progress for kids everywhere, whether he’s standing his ground and demanding real, tangible solutions to America’s gun violence epidemic or fighting for a more equitable economy for our kids to inherit.

Hi friends,
My husband, Tim Kaine, has had a lot of jobs over the years – civil rights lawyer, professor, mayor, governor of Virginia, senator – but the one he loves the most is being a father.
If you ask any mom or dad about navigating that first year of parenthood, they’ll tell you it’s one of the most difficult periods of their lives. Without training, you have to learn by doing. By drawing from your bottomless well of love to get you through the late-night feedings, diaper explosions, and bone-deep exhaustion.
And if you’re lucky like I was, you’ll have a teammate like Tim by your side.
Our kids are adults living their own lives now, but knowing they have a role model like Tim to look up to is one of my biggest joys.
And honestly, I’m not surprised that Tim has been dubbed “America’s dad” in the past. His hilarious dad jokes aside – the deep, unwavering commitment to a better, safer, more just future for our nation's children makes Tim an inspirational parent for us all.
