John, the path to retaking control of the House and defending our Senate majority runs directly through New York state.

Last year, New York was one of the only places in the country to see a red wave materialize. And when all the votes were counted, the four seats that the GOP picked up here were enough to help give Kevin McCarthy control of the House. It was the best election cycle for Republicans here in decades. 

Now, they're gearing up to expand on their victories in 2024. And we have to get to work right now if we want to have any chance of stopping them.

That's why I'm teaming up with Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Gov. Kathy Hochul and the New York Democrats to launch the New York Democratic Majority Fund. I'm incredibly excited about this partnership, so I've launched a 24-hour, $20,000 goal to start our June fundraising off on a strong foot.

Democrats only need to win five seats to retake control of the House. Four of the GOP-held seats that we're targeting here in New York came down to less than 2 points in 2022. And six are GOP districts that President Biden won in 2020. We can retake control of the House right here in New York. But only if we lay the groundwork for a coordinated, effective campaign.

That means knocking doors, registering voters, hiring an incredible campaign team and hitting every single one of our grassroots goals. We can't wait until next fall or even next year to start this work. To regain the momentum advantage, we have to start now.
