We just finished our 7-day sit-in at the US Capitol.

And it’s never been more clear that it's not just the Republicans that are the problem – but also Democrats too.

They are NOT doing their job. They are holding up the Assault Weapons Ban.

I’ll tell you what I told CNN: It’s not enough to just co-sponsor a bill.

We need legitimate action. We deserve to get Senators on the record and that's going to require movement on the bill.

But these politicians are more worried about keeping their seats in power than saving our lives.

It’s shameful. It’s despicable. And we won’t stand for it.

We’re calling on Senate Democrats, like Schumer and Durbin, to stand with us just as we stood with them in their elections. I’m counting on 961 supporters to step up and help us send Schumer and Durbin a resounding message: Deliver us a vote on the Assault Weapons ban or we will fight tooth and nail to replace you with a lawmaker who will. Will you rush $15 before midnight to prove your state wants real change and overwhelmingly supports an Assault Weapons ban? >>

It’s been five years since Parkland and nothing has changed.

An Assault Weapons Ban would have saved my cousin Alex’s life and the lives of countless others.

I will never stop fighting until the Federal Assault Weapons Ban is reinstated.

Because nothing is more painful than the heartbreak my family felt when Alex was taken by an AR-15 while sitting at his desk at school.
