John,
I’ll get right to it: the first end-of-quarter deadline of my campaign is just weeks away. I know sometimes these deadlines seem make-believe or unimportant, but I want to take a moment and explain the stakes here.
All campaigns submit fundraising numbers to the Federal Election Commission — and the numbers go public at the end of each quarter. That means our opponents will have a chance to see exactly where our campaign stands and it will be used as a benchmark of the strength of our movement.
That’s why I need to raise $10,000 before the end of the month. Meeting this goal is critical, John. NY-17 is an especially vulnerable seat for Republicans, and winning here is key to taking back the House.
