Guest speakers Michael L. Milnor, retired Chief of Police for Alta Vista, Viriginia, and Nancy Oglesby, prosecutor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, covered the many aspects of a thorough child homicide investigation, including scene preservation, evidence gathering, interrogation strategies, and the medical aspects seen in many child death cases. This specialized training went a step further and also touched on the importance of managing the mental and emotional toll that these cases can have on investigators and child welfare professionals.   A New & Improved Northeast Center Alliance For Children’s original Northeast Center officially reopened on Monday, June 5!
