In 2018 we did what many thought impossible and flipped the Third Congressional District. Thanks to you, the DeanTeam, we were able to bring energy and optimism to the campaign trail with the message that Everyone’s Invited! The work we have done since has not only led to my re-election, but also assisted in winning transformational elections down the ballot that helped secure the DFL Trifecta in Saint Paul.

With the dust settling on a historic legislative session, we can see the results of the time, talent, and treasure shared by this generous community and the impact you’ve made up and down the ballot in the Third.

Minnesota has become the North Star of the nation in expanding freedom for ALL its citizens. Thanks to the DFL Trifecta, we’ve become a top-tier state to raise a family and a beacon of democracy.

Guaranteeing Freedom for all Minnesotans:
Codifying reproductive freedom into state law
Protecting LGBTQ+ Minnesotans and their healthcare
Working to ensure the freedom to live without the fear of gun violence

Making Minnesota a Top-Tier State to Raise a Family:
Ensuring Paid Family and Medical Leave
Cutting childhood poverty by over one-third with the child tax credit
Making the largest working class tax cut in state history
Boosting school funding by historic levels

A Beacon of Democracy:
Establishing automatic voter registration
Restoring the vote for over 50,000 Minnesotans
Reducing dark money’s influence on our elections

The list is long, and I didn’t even include everything! The reality is, we’ve built an apparatus in the Third that helped lay the groundwork for these life-changing successes for our state. I’ve never been more proud to be a Minnesotan as we continue to serve as a model for the nation. You have each had a part in building this.
