Subject: Speak out for Palestinian human rights

John, it's time for Congress to take action to protect Palestinian human rights.

Today, Justice Democrats, Working Families Party, and Jewish Voice for Peace Action are calling on Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) members to sponsor Rep. Betty McCollum's bill, the Defending the Human Rights of Palestinian Children and Families Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act.

This bill would ensure that no U.S. military funding is used to imprison Palestinian children in the Israeli military detention and court system, demolish Palestinian homes, or to further expand settlements and annex Palestinian land.

The far-right Israeli government is currently planning for massive settlement expansion, which will displace countless Palestinians from their homes, so we must take action now. We need widespread support to show members of Congress that we're expecting them to do the right thing.

John, will you add your name today and call on CPC members to co-sponsor legislation to hold the Israeli government accountable for violence and protect Palestinian human rights?

Progressives in Congress should be fighting for every child to feel safe, every family to feel secure in their home, and every community to feel rooted in its land.

When we collectively raise our voices against injustice, we are powerful.

Thank you for taking action today,

Team JD
