My choices in the highly contested race in this Democratic primary, which concludes on June 20.
The stakes in this primary election are high, so I am sharing with you opportunities to volunteer for or contribute to the candidates I voted for. I understand you may not share my choices. I share this information nevertheless, because, respectfully, I believe they will best strengthen and expand the American Dream in Arlington and I believe in sharing opportunities to participate in our democracy.

Volunteers win elections. What role will you play in writing the next chapter in Arlington's history?

Parisa Dehghani-Tafti for Commonwealth's Attorney
* To learn about Parisa: [link removed]
* To volunteer for Parisa, email Rose Fabia at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) Rose can help with volunteering on election day and over the coming 12 days. I am working with Parisa and her team on how I can best help with a canvass as well as canvassing myself.
* To donate to help Parisa raise the resources she needs to win this critical race: [link removed]
* I support Parisa because: Over the last four years Parisa has worked to better align our Commonwealth's Attorney's Office with Arlington’s ideals with respect to criminal and racial justice. She ended cash bail and reformed our legal discovery system, I worked with her to set up a mental health docket that diverts individuals who should not be incarcerated from jail. I support Parisa’s re-election because I believe she is the right choice to consolidate and implement the reforms she started.

Thank you for considering these candidates and the opportunities to help them and to shape Arlington's future. If you wish to read the Washington Post's review of these elections, this article provides relevant information that may be helpful: [link removed] If you have specific questions in response to this email, reply to me and I will respond.

In service of Arlington and the ideals we share,

Matt
