Dear John,

The bill to responsibly develop offshore wind in Maine was just voted out of the Energy, Utilities, and Technology Committee!

LD 1895 will create new jobs, stabilize electricity costs, and help fight climate change at a time when the Gulf of Maine is warming faster than 99% of the world’s oceans. The bill has high standards for labor, the environment, and equity – essential components of a responsibly developed offshore wind industry that is now much closer to becoming a reality for Maine.

Team MCV was at the State House today for the committee vote – and we are full of gratitude for the hundreds of you who have already signed petitions, sent emails to your legislators, and joined us at the State House on Conservation Lobby Day to express how important this legislation is for Maine.

Now, we need your help again to ensure the bill passes through the Maine Senate before it advances to the House.

Click here to send an email urging your legislators to support Maine-made offshore wind.

Stay tuned for updates as LD 1895 continues to move forward.

Thank you for taking action,
