News broke just hours ago that two people were shot, one fatally, at a Maryland cemetery during the burial of a 10-year-old girl who fell victim to gun violence just last month.

This happened just outside of Washington, D.C., and should come as no surprise. This is the reality of America today.

We cannot peacefully attend the funeral of a child who died due to gun violence without experiencing more gun violence.

Our hearts are with the victims, those burying their loved ones, and all those triggered by this latest heartbreak.
