The California Senate is considering a bill that would change how counties handle contracts and plans for voting systems. The bill would require counties to have a new voting system contract and transition plan in place, requirements that respond directly to Shasta County’s decision to cancel a contract with Dominion Voting Systems earlier this year.

To make matters worse — they’re pushing an allegedly illegal August election to ram through the proposal before a pro-choice abortion measure is placed on the ballot.
