Friend,

On Friday, we launched what I think is going to be a defining message of this election cycle.

It’s time for us to #TakeBackTheFlag.

MAGA has co-opted our international symbol of hope and freedom for an ugly and violent cause. And it’s the duty of the pro-democracy coalition to reclaim the flag and everything it represents.

If you haven’t seen it yet, I urge you to watch our launch video and take the survey about what the flag means to you here >>

Now, since we’ve launched this campaign, we’ve been flooded with positive messages from The Lincoln Project community.

And some of my favorite responses from supporters have been stories about what the flag means to them. Stories about why they still fly the flag and why they still look to it as a symbol of everything that makes our country great.

Hope, freedom, and the determination of generations of Americans who have fought to make our nation more equal and free. These are the values of our flag.

I fly a flag outside my house. I do it to show my community that I care about our country and that I’m proud to continue to fight for our democracy

Friend, what does the flag mean to you? And what plan do you have to make sure you and everyone you know takes back the flag? Our whole team is looking forward to reading your answers.
