Friends ,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the incredible support you’ve shown me -- not just this past month, but for years now (and for many of you, decades!).
Working in the business of politics and public office has its challenges. There’s a whole lot of division, conflicting priorities, unmet needs, and of course, the continuous endeavor to raise enough money to stick around in the job. But boy do I feel lucky to get to do it.
Put simply, I love my job. I love Virginia, I love the people of this Commonwealth, and I love the work I get to do every day to help problem-solve with them and build a stronger future for all of our kids. And I am going to fight tooth and nail to keep that job so we can keep working together on the issues that matter -- from lowering costs and boosting our economy to protecting voting rights and restoring reproductive freedom.
But when we wrapped up our May fundraising efforts, we fell short. Despite so many folks on this team stepping up -- and for that I’m truly grateful -- we weren’t quite able to reach our re-election campaign fundraising goal.
So during the month of June, I’m going to need to spend a little more time making up the difference so we can stay on track.

These monthly budgets are how my team builds a winning campaign -- and there’s no shortcut. We can’t miss our goals and get where we need to go at the same time, and where we need to go is towards a strong victory in 2024. With the state of today’s Republican party, the stakes are simply too high to risk losing a single Democratic seat in the Senate.
