Happy Pride Month!

As we head into an important month of celebration, we face strong opposition from right-wing extremists to our mission of love, liberation, and our fight against all forms of systemic oppression. 

Standing up for LGBTQ+ students is the core of our mission at GLSEN, and in response to these attacks on our mission, we must all Rise Up as a collective. 

Rising Up for LGBTQ+ youth means something different to everyone. You could take our Rise Up pledge, which is a pledge to advocate for safe and inclusive learning environments. When you sign the pledge, a pin will populate on our Rise Up Map to represent your commitment. 

You could wear a t-shirt, button, or put a poster up. Through these public displays, we are creating symbols of hope to show that we are here, and we will rise up.

Celebrate LGBTQ+ people in your life, cherish the joy we have as a community, and Rise Up with Pride. 

We must not back down now. Our young people need us now more than ever.
