May was a huge month in the fight for democracy. And we’re damn proud of all the work The Lincoln Project did taking the fight to MAGA extremists and holding anyone who supports them accountable. 

We’re going to break down for you exactly what we accomplished together over these past four weeks. But we’re wrapping up our end-of-month fundraising, and now is a great time to pitch in and help us sustain our movement. The amount you donate today will help us plan which ads we can run and which voters (or easily enraged former President) we can show them to over the next month.

Now, without further ado, here’s the breakdown of the work we did on the frontlines in the fight for democracy. 

We called out CNN and Fox News for being Brand Unsafe.

When CNN and Fox met with sponsors and pitched them on advertising deals for the year, we bombarded their news headquarters with messages calling them out for being Brand Unsafe. The ads played on their phones and outside their windows, and we know for sure that it ticked them off. 

How are we so sure? Well, we always have eyes on the inside. And they both sent NYPD officers to intimidate our ad trucks into moving. Yep, they stooped to authoritarian intimidation tactics just because we called out their support for Trump’s fascism. Irony at its finest. Watch our ad calling CNN the Trump News Network >>

We poked the DeSaster.

Ok, this was an easy one. But when Ron DeSantis finally announced his presidential campaign after a hilarious thirty-minute technical delay, only to spend two hours worshipping Elon Musk and bashing DEI, we knew this campaign was going to be even worse than we thought. 

So, we dropped an ad attacking the deranged Governor and we raked him over the coals on social media. Word is, we penetrated his delusional bubble. Wait until he sees what else we’ve got in store for him over the primary. And all we can say to you, Friend, is grab some popcorn and watch us bait DeSantis and Trump into the biggest political mud fight the world has ever seen. Watch the video that DeSantis hated >>

Rick made them so mad.

Rick had some choice words after CNN gave Trump a 90-minute primetime campaign rally. Everyone from CNN execs to MAGA basement incels crawled out of the woodwork to whine about this one. And it was all just another reminder of how good it is to have someone like Rick on the pro-democracy side. Check out what Rick said >>

After Fox took a massive financial blow from the Dominion lawsuit, we decided to take another chunk out of their bottom line. We targeted their precious viewers with an ad that drove them even further away from the MAGA network. The ad wasn’t targeted at you, but our democracy benefits when we take the fight right to Fox viewers. Watch the ad you weren’t meant to see >>
