Reflections by Joe Garza: This has been a whirlwind trip to Washington, D.C. on behalf of the Republican Party of Bexar County. We met with Texas Public Policy Foundation, US Congressmen Tony Gonzales and Chip Roy, the offices of US Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, and the Mexican Embassy. We were able to tour the US Capitol, including a VIP escort to the top of the rotunda and Gallery seating for the House Floor. We discussed the southern US-Mexico border, military preparedness, Medicare, Social Security, and the Sunset Act. It was amazing, and we hope that we made the Republican Party proud! Thank you to everyone who contributed and participated, especially Chairman Jeff McManus!
