The only thing powerful enough to meet the urgency and scale of the climate crisis is a powerful movement of thousands of trained organizers willing to invest everything they’ve got to the future we deserve. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our next Power Shift convergence, which will take place April 16-18th, 2021 in New Orleans, Louisiana!

Since 2007 Power Shift convergences have catalyzed the energy, passion, and power of thousands of young people from across the US to grow the movement for a stable climate and a livable future. In 2016, Power Shift went on the road and hosted regional convergences across the country to grow our base and meet folks where they were at.We’re ready to bring young people from across the country together again to invest in the youth climate movement’s future.

We chose New Orleans because of the powerful work happening on the ground to fight climate change and build resilient communities. New Orleans has established itself as an anchor of the environmental movement, championing work to fight Cancer Alley and sustainably rebuilding the city post- Katrina.

Power Shift 2021 is poised to harness post-election energy to get young folks trained in the skills necessary to achieve important wins to build towards climate justice.
