I had the honor of speaking on the Senate Floor today as we honor all those who have served our nation. I co-sponsored SJR20-010, honoring gold star families. Many of my own family members have served and I truly appreciate the sacrifice of those who serve and the families of those who serve.

HB20-1042 ([link removed]) : PFAS Polyfluoroalky Substances Manufacturing Notice Requirements
HB20-1042 passed in the House on 3rd Reading and Final Passage on Tuesday. It will now go to the Senate.

HB20-1234 ([link removed]) : Peace Officer Status For Certain DOR Department of Revenue Employees
This bill specifies that motor vehicle investigators and criminal tax enforcement special agents are peace officers and must be certified by the peace office standards and training board.
This bill was introduced on 1/31 and will be heard in the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, February 11.

The Denver-based Piton Foundation partners with TSJC, and Adams State accounting students, to help hard-working families become more financially secure by providing free tax preparation assistance through the Tax Help Colorado program.
