On March 20-21, 2020, hundreds of synagogues and thousands of individuals across the United States will be raising their voices in support of refugees and asylum seekers during the second National Refugee Shabbat organized by HIAS. This special Shabbat has even gone international with communities in Canada, Europe, and around the world taking part!

This year, HIAS is excited to offer a dozen ways for you to participate and take action this National Refugee Shabbat (and in the days before and after). There is something for everyone - from direct advocacy, to lighting Shabbat candles with a special reading, donating airline miles, buying refugee-produced goods, or starting a refugee-focused book club. There are important actions that all of us can take to add our voices to the incredible Jewish movement for refugees and asylum seekers.
