Right now, the United States spends more than twice as much per person
compared to other countries and yet tens of millions are without the
essential care and coverage they need. The COVID-19 pandemic put a massive
spotlight on our current system's significant failings and we have the
chance to respond to this pressing moment.

Providing health care to all shouldn't be considered a radical idea but
rather the bare minimum of any government to care for its own citizens.

At the same time, our profit-driven health care system all too often
places significant barriers and challenges to receiving care and this
continues to disproportionately impact low-income and BIPOC communities.

We have the unique ability and opportunity to transform our health care
system to one that prioritizes compassion instead of greed and corporate
profits.
