There are a couple important reasons why we can’t lose momentum now.

For starters, a new Republican opponent just announced their campaign against me. We haven’t heard much yet, but we do know they attended a big GOP fundraiser dinner in our district alongside Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

We’re also facing a barrage of new digital attacks from National Republicans. They’re explicitly targeting Democrats they consider to be the most “at-risk” in 2024.

We can’t let these early attacks go unanswered, team, and the reality is that it costs money to get our message out. That’s why we’re determined to meet all of our quarterly fundraising goals, and we can’t accept any less in a district as competitive as IL-17.
