Last week’s CNN town hall with former President Trump was a complete disaster.

In one night, Trump once again spread lie after lie.

1. He claimed the 2020 election was rigged.
2. He blamed the January 6th insurrection on Nancy Pelosi.
3. He downplayed the January 6th insurrection.

These aren’t even half of the lies he told, and they reached countless viewers.

As the 2024 election comes into focus, it’s vital we hold the media accountable for giving bad-faith actors a platform. The George Washington Initiative is committed to combating disinformation and preventing another January 6th.
