[1]NNU - Medicare for All!
My name is Nancy Hagans, and I’m a registered nurse and President of the
New York State Nurses Association and National Nurses United. Right now
I’m in Washington, D.C. for the re-introduction of Medicare for All
legislation in the Senate and in the House tomorrow.
Medicare for All is the best solution to our health care crisis. It is
guaranteed, single-payer health care that would ensure all U.S. residents,
from the young to the elderly, would have comprehensive, quality health
care — including medical, dental, hearing, vision, mental health,
reproductive, and long-term care.
Before the Medicare for All Act of 2023 is officially introduced tomorrow,
I’ll be joining in conversation with Senator Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman
Pramila Japayal, and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell for a live town hall
event TONIGHT. We’ll also be joined by nurses, patients, and advocates to
discuss the need for Medicare for All and the future of this movement. You
don't want to miss this!
We want as many people as possible to be a part of this town hall, so
we'll be livestreaming the event starting at 7:30 ET/4:30 PT. [ [link removed] ]Sign up

69% of people in the United States support Medicare for All, and we're
continuing to grow our support for Medicare for All legislation in the
House and Senate.^1 But as it stands, we don't have the votes to pass this
legislation today. We must continue to gain enough support in Congress to
pass it into law — and that starts with expanding our movement of
supporters across the country.
I hope you'll join us tonight, and keep an eye out in your inbox for more
ways to get involved in the movement for Medicare for All.
In solidarity,
Nancy Hagans, RN, CCRN
President, New York State Nurses Association and National Nurses United
