I also sent a letter on the same topic to DHS, demanding information on CISA’s role as the leader of the censorship brigade. I won’t rest until we ensure transparency and accountability.
READ: “It’s far past time to pull back the curtain on the federal censorship-industrial complex, and that’s exactly what this subcommittee will do. There is a distinct pattern of the executive branch, especially DHS, using its power to threaten the First Amendment rights of Americans.”
Biden’s Border Catastrophe
The unprecedented chaos at our southern border is deliberate. President Biden, DHS Secretary Mayorkas, and the Democrat Party made a calculated policy decision to unleash this disorder on the border. Each day last week, Border Patrol apprehended more than 10,000 illegal border crossers. Those numbers only increased after Title 42 expired over the weekend. The press then lied about the border surge to cover for Biden’s damaging decision.
House Republicans have stepped up to do what the President refuses to – this past week, we passed the Secure the Border Act of 2023, a robust border security bill that, among other provisions,
- Completes border wall construction.
- Overhauls the asylum process to prevent rampant fraud and abuse.
- Ends “catch and release” permanently.
- Curtails incentives for cartels to smuggle children across the border.
- Gives our border patrol agents the tools necessary to secure the border.
- Mandates E-Verify to protect American jobs.

The Week in Weaponized Government
Our Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government has been hard at work investigating how the federal bureaucracy is weaponized against the American people, and this week, we uncovered shocking evidence showing that intelligence officials and the Biden campaign worked together to mislead American voters in the run-up to the 2020 election.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant. We’ll continue to work both behind the scenes and via public hearings to uncover these malicious activities and utilize the full power of Congress to root them out from the federal government.
