In January, 20 conservatives stood up to the D.C. Swamp and secured transformational changes in the way Washington will operate moving forward. Americans are suffering from near-record inflation, soaring energy prices, a porous open border, surging crime, weaponized bureaucrats, and a Washington elite that has neither the answers nor the desire to serve the people from whom it derives its legitimacy. The fight you saw unfold was critically important to determine how much of a voice the American people will have to fight back against this radical agenda.
Conservatives in Congress now have a seat at the table to influence the process. However, there is much work left to be done to advance the policies necessary to break the grip of the corrupt bipartisan Establishment more interested in its own power than the well-being of the American people. And the fight is much bigger than just the daily decadence occurring in Washington.
The same D.C. Swamp that is siphoning away the spirit and resources of the American people is also mired in the state legislatures. The reality is that there are also 50 Swamps in each of our state capitals and every day, they are bogging down the policies and principles necessary to reinvigorate our nation.
Fortunately, the freedom-loving opposition is not just organizing, but advancing. Conservative fighters in the states are mobilizing to disarm and defeat the corrupt cabals in every state capital as part of an intentional strategy to outmaneuver Washington D.C. and create bastions of freedom to protect the people from the woke and weaponized institutions waging war on them and their families.
The State Freedom Caucus Network was founded in December 2021 to help create and work with freedom caucuses in the 50 state capitols. The Network is equipping liberty-minded state lawmakers with the resources, knowledge, and procedural strategies they need to ensure the rights of their citizens are protected and the progressive policies targeting American households are defeated.
In just over one year, the Network has helped launch 10 official freedom caucuses in legislatures across the nation – including Georgia, South Carolina, Illinois, Arizona, Nevada, South Dakota, Mississippi, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.
The impact of the Network is already being felt.
* Despite being outnumbered, the Wyoming Freedom Caucus killed a bill that would provide subsidies to Hollywood. In a local press report, a supporter of the bill who would have financially benefited from it “believes the [Wyoming] Freedom Caucus orchestrated the demise of HB 92 and other bills that had majority overall support, but which they didn’t agree with.”
* The Montana Senate passed SB 99, a bill that would ban transgender surgeries for children. It was a huge victory that the Montana Freedom Caucus was a part of. Speaking on the MT Senate floor, MTFC Chair Theresa Manzella said, “You cannot change your sex because you cannot change your chromosomes. The Creator has reserved that for himself.” The bill will likely pass the MT House and become law.
* In a committee hearing to consider Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs’ nominee to be the state’s health director, Arizona Freedom Caucus Chairman Jake Hoffman asked the nominee, under testimony, if she believed the benefits outweighed the costs of her recommendation to close schools during the COVID pandemic. Disappointingly, she replied, “I don’t know”. The AZ Freedom Caucus was instrumental in the Arizona Senate ultimately rejecting her nomination.
It is imperative that every state have organized freedom fighters in the state legislature to defend their constituents from both the radical left and the Establishment status quo. Fortunately, it is precisely for this mission and this moment that the State Freedom Caucus Network exists.
It is also for this reason that they need our help. While the Network has seen incredible success in the past year, there is simply far more work that must be done to protect our friends, our neighbors, and our families from the corrupt Swamps in our state capitals.
