I’m not what many might call an obvious choice for a Senate candidate, so I want to tell you why I decided to get into this campaign (If you’re with me, you can make a donation here).

I’m not a career politician, and I know it’s going to be TOUGH for an outside candidate to beat an eighteen-year incumbent senator who has spent his time in Washington currying favor with the DC establishment as Mitch McConnell’s right-hand man -- instead of serving Texans. But I’ve taken on a lot of tough fights in my life, and that’s why I know I can win this one.

I decided to step up and run against John Cornyn because I believe I have what it takes to win. Will you pitch in now to help us win the upcoming Texas primary and take on Sen. Cornyn from the strongest position possible?

Texas deserves better than a senator who votes to rip health care away from millions, blocked bills to lower prescription drug prices, and flat out refused to take action on gun violence.

I will fight for y’all in the Senate and be accountable to the people only. As the only political outsider in the race and a working mom who has personally faced the struggles working Texans deal with every day, you can be sure of that.
