SAM is proud to announce that General Barry R. McCaffrey, former Director of the
White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and SAM Honorary Advisor will
be speaking at the 7th Annual SAM Summit in Nashville, TN.
General McCaffrey was the Director of the White House ONDCP during the Clinton Administration.
He was confirmed to the position by a unanimous vote of the U.S. Senate and served
as a member of the President's Cabinet and National Security Council for drug-related
issues.
He currently serves as a national security and terrorism analyst for NBC, MSNBC,
and CNBC News. Following government service, General McCaffrey served as the Bradley
Distinguished Professor of International Security Studies and then as an Adjunct
Professor of International Security Studies at the United States Military at West
Point, NY.
This year's summit will once again be taking place in conjunction with the Rx Drug
Abuse & Heroin Summit in Nashville, TN on April 16, 2020 and will also feature:
Dr. Elinore McCance-Katz of SAMHSA;
Dr. Kevin Sabet of SAM;
Dr. Grant Baldwin of the CDC;
US Attorney for the Eastern District of California McGregor "Greg" Scott;
