It’s been just over a week since the Iowa Legislature adjourned for the year, and not a moment too soon, friend.

Kim Reynolds got just about everything she wanted this session, and now Iowans have to suffer the consequences. Iowa Republicans passed bills to funnel public dollars to private schools, ban certain books in libraries, and make it easier for predatory employers to take advantage of poor kids.

Coming off a session like that, it’s completely understandable to feel numb, exhausted, angry, or all three. But we’re not going to give in to any feelings of powerlessness.

We know that if we can elect more Democrats, we can bring down costs for child care, ensure fair compensation and a voice in the workplace for hardworking Iowans, and return to our proud tradition of world-class public schools.

Iowa Democrats in the House and Senate fought back with everything they could to temper the worst of Kim Reynolds and Iowa Republicans' ideas. Iowans from all over the state came to Des Moines to share their thoughts with legislators and try to turn the tide.

We are not alone in this fight for a better Iowa, and we’re not giving up.

But we need your help to build up our Party from the grassroots level – strengthening our county parties, getting out on the road to talk to friends and neighbors, and making sure that candidates have the support they need. Can we count on you to chip in $15 right now, friend?

CHIP IN $15

The sooner we build a strong foundation now, the easier it will be to plan for the road to victory in 2024. Are you in, friend?

Thanks for everything you do for our state and our party! It really means a lot to have you on our team.
