Growing up in Manchester, I saw first-hand how our state is filled with resilient, hardworking people who care deeply about their families, their communities, and their futures. I'm committed to fighting for them, because New Hampshire is our home.

It's where I was born and raised. It's where I met my husband, Mike, and where we raised our three children, William, Sarah, and Kathryn.

My children are the reason why I first ran for office as a young mom. I was determined to make a change for Manchester schools for all Manchester students, and I won my first race for Board of School Committee in 2008. Since then, I've gone on to serve as Manchester’s first woman mayor.

One thing has been made abundantly clear to me — New Hampshire is worth fighting for.
