The United States' scientific community is second to none. Yet, we're reliant on other countries – particularly China – for active pharmaceutical ingredients and personal protective equipment (PPE).
There is no reason we shouldn't lead the world in making life saving medications. That's why I was proud to reintroduce the bipartisan Manufacturing API, Drugs, and Excipients (MADE) in America Act.
This bill will mitigate drug shortages and medical supply chain issues to ensure every person and medical worker has the medication and PPE they need without being dependent on another nation. The MADE in America Act will also revitalize our nation's manufacturing base and create new jobs.
As your congressman, I'll always fight to ensure every person has access to the lifesaving prescription medications they rely on and work to bring new jobs to U.S. shores. But now, I want to know if you're with me.
