Dear John,

May is For Monthly Giving! Consistent monthly support helps ensure that all our work is fully supported. And becoming a monthly donor is so easy!

Here are a few of the projects you will be supporting as a monthly donor:

A is For has now donated more than 800 copies of our new, stigma-busting comic book Buckle Up: Abortion Stories from the Road to abortion clinics, funds, medical providers, and educational institutions across the country. In addition, 100% of the proceeds from sales of the comic book will benefit The Brigid Alliance, a referral-based service that provides logistical support such as travel and lodging for people seeking abortions.

This summer A is For will present readings of the three winning one-act plays from our 2023 Play Contest about reproductive justice at our first in-person all it takes is ONE ACT Festival at a theater in NYC (date and location tba).

So far this year A is For has donated $12,500 to abortion providers and reproductive justice organizations through our Beneficiaries Program. Thanks to a new strategic partnership with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, this program will now donate more money to organizations providing abortion care, and those that support them.

For as little as $20 a month you can support A is For’s critical work at the intersection of the arts and social justice. Donate HERE, and make sure to check the box that reads, “Show my support by making this a monthly donation.”

Thank you for your continued support!

Best,

Kellie Overbey

“Many thanks for the part you play in this important work for equality and freedom. It's always good to connect with people that take action.”

-Ona Marshall, Co-Founder, Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Fund

“I just wanted to reach out and say thank you again for sending so many copies of Buckle Up: Abortion Stories from the Road. I finally got a chance to sit down and read the whole comic; it is beautiful, heartbreaking, and everything that people must hear.”

- Lexi McKee-Hemenway, President, University of South Dakota’s Students for Reproductive Rights

“I was elated to hear that my play had been selected for A is For’s One Act Festival. As a playwright, I strive to create plays that inspire social change. It was therefore rewarding and fulfilling to be able to collaborate with an organization that uses theater as a means to fight against systems that suppress reproductive rights.”
