It was just announced that the Biden Administration is preparing to militarize the border with Title 42 coming to an end:

Democrats should be the party of welcoming immigrants and asylum seekers. Instead, the Biden Administration is giving into the far-right’s xenophobia.

We need an immigration system that is rooted in humanity and empathy. We cannot return to Trump-era policies of family separation, detention, and militarization.
