John

Mother’s Day is coming up in a few days so I thought I’d pop in with a quick reminder motherhood and abortion are not opposed. In fact, 59 percent of women having abortions are already mothers. [1]

Don’t forget that motherhood and abortion work together for full reproductive freedom. Give to make this a reality.

All mothers deserve all our support, whether they are choosing to grow their family or want to keep the family they have or create family outside of having biological children.

Honor, respect, and uplift all the choices mothers make with a donation.

In this new post-Roe reality, anti-abortion leaders’ ultimate goal is population control of a specific kind: more white babies, and more hurt for the women and people of color most negatively impacted by restrictions on access to reproductive health care. They trumpet their supposed love of ‘traditional families’ and ‘moms’ as a dog whistle toward their fellow fascists working to pass more abortion bans, hurt trans kids (even outlawing their moms supporting them), and further erode democracy and freedom in the United States.

This Mother’s Day, remind them that moms can, and do, have and love abortion.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson

P.S. Flowers, chocolate, and a donation? Sounds like a great gift idea to me!
