Central Aquatics Center
Hurst Aquatics Update for the 2023 Season

The Hurst Aquatics Team is excited to offer a safe and fun summer season! Unfortunately, despite significant recruitment efforts, we have not received enough seasonal aquatics applications to operate both facilities safely at full operating hours. As a result, we are offering a rotating operational schedule that offers open swim hours at Chisholm and Central Aquatic Centers for the 2023 aquatics summer season.

The 2023 operating schedule includes the following:

*Chisholm Aquatics Center hours of operation are:*

• M/W/F: 12-8 p.m.

• Sat/Sun: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

*Central Aquatics Center hours of operation are:*

• T/Th: 12-5 p.m.

We continue recruiting and interviewing staff, so if you're late to the 'summer job game,' apply today!

For information on admissions, learn-to-swim classes, facility rental information, and aquatics special events, visit our website.

Outdoor Warning Siren
How much do you know about our outdoor warning sirens?

On the first Wednesday of each month (weather permitting), we test our outdoor warning sirens. During each test, Hurst Fire Department personnel stand by at each location to report the proper functioning of the sirens.

The purpose of an outdoor warning siren is to warn people who are outdoors to get indoors and tune into a local news station for information. These sirens are not designed to be heard inside buildings or homes.

*Reasons an outdoor warning siren is activated:*

⚠️ The National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning
⚠️ A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued with destructive winds 70 mph or higher
⚠️ Trained spotters have reported a tornado in or near the area
⚠️ Reported hail of 1.25' in diameter or greater
⚠️ Other emergencies as directed by the community's elected officials

Make sure you are signed up for weather alerts before our next weather event! These alerts are pushed out by the National Weather Service straight to your phone.
